This is an excellent base for exploring this part of the country or is the most beautiful beaches, some very close and easily accessible. The "Playa Arapito", "Playa Colorada", the two most famous are found by the roadside, a few kilometres away. Do not forget a visit to the beautiful village of Mochima few kilometres further, towards Cumana.
